Winter Tree
Today, we woke to the best snow we've had in years. After breakfast we routed out our snow gear and got "hostie toastie".
The morning was spent building snowmen, making snow angels and an elephant snow slide complete with steps to help get up the 2 foot high climb. Some younger folk were struggling.
After some delicious homemade soup, and after a wee rest, we headed out again - this time further afield. As luck would have it we happened upon friends who were sledging and so we all had a go and tired ourselves out.
On our return, I noticed this beautiful tree which looked extra good because of the snow resting on its branches. The natural highlighting has a sharpening effect which really adds to its shape.
