MATCH DAY ESSENTIALS

Did a few household chores today - washing, ironing, washing the cat litter trays  - and I made some chunky chicken soup.

Then at around 3.30pm I got the bus to Newcastle.  Mooched around the shops for a bit.  Bought some fruit in Waitrose.  Then I made my way to St James Park.  Newcastle were playing Southampton. Kick off 5.30pm.  (Not my favourite time for a match - I prefer 3pm ).  Newcastle lost.  The team were booed after the final whistle.  Not a good atmosphere.  Something needs to happen - and soon - to prevent a slide down the Premiership table.

After the match I came straight home.  Caught the bus and when it was in Gateshead it was hit by a car.  Big thud. Luckily no damage.  Names etc were exchanged and after a wait of around 10 mins we were on our way again.

As soon as I got indoors I had a bowl of the chicken soup I had made earlier.  I needed to be warmed up inside and out as it was cold at the match.

My blip shows some of the essential items needed when I go to the football.  My scarf, season ticket, padded gloves and two handwarmers.   Even with my gloves on my hands just wouldn't stay warm.  I used the handwarmers half way through the second half of the game.  They are supposed to stay warm for 30 mins but its more like 15. But anything is better than nothing.
