Kakariki

A flight to Wellington this morning then a boat trip out to Somes Island for the afternoon.  Interesting history and even more interesting birds. Well, for me anyway.

I spent a wonderful hour on my own just sitting and watching a flock of karariki.  I took a lot of photos of them bathing in a pool in the forest - but they're all very dark and noisy.
