NASA Geo-engineers and scientists came to Rotorua to study the geothermal activity and rocks at Sulphur Point. They had a public open day to show the Rover that drills into dangerous areas and the gyro-copter that can take inferred pictures of underground activity. The public turned out in good numbers and the kids had a ball with the hands on playing with model bottle rockets and mecano models. the scientist gave talks about the mars rovers and the NASA technology. Rotorua Astronomical Society were there - a great day out
