a case of mixed emotions

Anniemay flies off to Mauritius tomorrow - I’m taking her up to Manchester tonight because her flight leaves early tomorrow morning.

She’s attending the wedding of her niece (daughter of her beloved brother Rob who passed away two years ago) - so a journey of mixed emotions.  

It’s a long way to go for a wedding and she’s the only one of her family who’s able to make the trip.  But it’s something she felt she had to do.  That’s my girl.

I decided to jazz up her suitcase and put the emphasis on joy rather than sadness.

And good wishes to the happy couple.

ps. there's something about the notion of biodegradable wedding paraphernalia that makes me want to laugh.  But I can't quite think what it is.
