After doubting how close I might get with my current lenses yesterday I thought I would go look for a red kite today. Saw none en route or when I arrived so I went into a hide and this little robin came and perched just in front of one of the slots. As I took steady aim I heard a chap with his little girl trying to come in and he was telling her to be quiet as she was chatting away.:-) Suffice to say I had to grab a rushed shot or two:-)) I even accidentally got to turn my camera to macro so that was good. :-)) Saw a kite nice and low and overhead but I was driving through the town so did not get a shot .
