Two sides of a Wainwright

The start of my walk up Helm Crag from Dunmail was fine, but as I neared the summit other walkers said "It's hell up there, the winds are so strong you can't stand up", so I went down into the Easedale Valley and then walked up the crag from the sunny, more peaceful side.
