Day 53: A Wonder Down Under

It was impossible to choose a single photo for today's blip, from amongst the hundreds I took (with a high-quality rental underwater camera) of the brightly colored coral and fish while snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef. I liked the clarity and detail of this one, which is only a fraction of the beauty I saw in this underwater haven.

Our full day trip on the Passions of Paradise catamaran took us to the outer edges of the reef and included a tasty tropical lunch as well as lessons on marine/coral life and even knot-making! On the return trip, we even set sail for a lovely afternoon cruise back to shore.
