Cold water

The stream that runs through Carding Mill Valley, a notably scenic spot at any time and distinctly so with a dusting of snow on it, as it was today. The path - well walked by the time we got there - was very icy and it was much easier to keep my balance standing in the stream, which is what I was doing while taking this picture of the water coming through a miniature dam - and also quietly appreciating that my hiking boots were still waterproof after many years and many miles of walking.
