Dawn light

A gorgeous golden sunrise this morning - but I’d slept in so missed the best of it unfortunately. The light in the sky was beautiful though and there was an amazing nor west arch, presaging more high temperatures and wind. It’s been back in the 30Cs again today. This view is looking west, away from the golden sky, towards Southshore and the Southern Alps.

And the site meeting? Yes, it happened this morning, and it looks as though some of the jobs that have been hanging fire, waiting for decisions, might actually get better results because of the drawn-out processing time. That’s cool. The length of time has been patently ridiculous and unwarranted; frustrating in the extreme. It’s been one week shy of 8 months now, when originally it was supposed to 3.5 months. It looks to me as though I might be back in the house by the end of April at the earliest and maybe the end of May, being realistic. We’ll see. My temporary accommodation allowance (part of my insurance policy agreement) runs out at the end of May but I was told that that will be taken care of if the job runs beyond the end of May. Phew!
