1945 film directed by David Lean.
Once a week Laura Jesson goes to town by train for some shopping and the cinema. By chance she meets another passenger, Alec Harvey at the railway station. They arrange to meet up again and soon fall in love with each other. Both are married with children though and realise that a future together is impossible. With heavy hearts they agree to end their relationship, their final meeting taking place at the railway station refreshment room.
