Morning Walk

This morning as Maddy and I walked through the neighborhood, I decided to photograph from the sidewalk some of the beautiful irises in the gardens as they are past peak - yesterday was 93 degrees and some Spring flowers began to wilt.

On this evening's walk in the woods, Maddy discovered the cutest little turtle about five inches long. After a quick sniff, she continued but I stopped and photographed it. Its face was partially hidden in the grasses so I have chosen this photo from this morning.
