My first woodpecker

Sorry this isn't a better picture but it took a lot of tracking down. I had heard the noise and wondered what it was. I eventually found him quite high up and with the sun behind him. After many even more blurry shots and a little tweaking on the computer this is the best I could come up with.


Apologies - getting to grips with the new site, camera giving up on me (so having to get a new one) and going on holiday have led to me back blipping quite a few!
