Sigiriya Rock Fortress

Many thanks for all the comments and stars on yesterday's load of old cobras! Wifi still very slow so apologies for not replying individually. Promise to get back to commenting as soon as I have reliable wifi and time.

Today we have been elephant riding - I nearly posted a shot of Tess balancing on an elephant's head to prove she has fully recovered- and visiting one of the ancient capitals.

Early tomorrow morning we are setting off to walk up all 1250 steps to the top of this rock fortress which we can see from the hotel, before it gets too hot.
