A parent and it's sibling

Salvia phlomoides (the spike with the dark purple flowers ) to the right and its apparent offspring with related Salvia hypargia to the left (blueish flowers and taller)

It gets a full photo here a few days later when in full flower

So far the hybrid may have a long bloom time and be more vigorus than either parent
