All Souls, Langham Place

I came out of Oxford Circus tube station this morning and was walking up Regent Street when I noticed that I had an unusually clear view of the lovely All Souls Church in Langham Place. 

By coincidence, today I also had a response to my query in last Thursday's blip about the Quintin Hogg memorial. The excellent University of Westminster Archives (@UniWestArc ) contacted me via Twitter and confirmed that the memorial was indeed previously located in Regent Street. They even provided photographic evidence to show the statue in it's original location. Apparently it was relocated to Portland Place around 1930.

So today's blip shows a view which, until 85 years ago, would have included the statue.
