Lochan na h-Achaise

The problem with this spot is that it is just far too accessible. While there is plenty of places to park in formal laybys offering perhaps a five minute walk with your tripod this is clearly too demanding a tramp for some folk. On the way past this morning there were vehicles stopped and vacated while still occupying half a lane width. Most traffic surges past here near or over the legal speed limit, leaving your vehicle in such a dangerous position is madness. If you are in to your landscape photography I think walking more than ten paces from the car door is hardly too onerous.
We had a lot to get done today (and it was accomplished thankfully) but the prospect of it distracted me from a lay by stop here in the morning. (Morning is best at this Lochan). On the way home the sun was well down in the sky but I had no blip otherwise so I took the five minute walk.
