This afternoon we spent pootling around Stamford. It's a lovely town, quite small but full of interesting little roads, shops, cafes and so forth. Empty shops seem to be an increasing feature of many towns these days, those and closed pubs. Well, there were lots of ex-pubs in evidence, but far fewer empty shops than in many towns. This one held the blip-factor through the irony of its name. What a shame!
