at home with an Ivysaurus

Lunchbox

I had to go Inverness for a scan today to check on our twins. We were meant to be getting a lift with Lesley and Rowan, but poor Rowan wasn't very well so we had to come up with a last minute emergency plan. Ivy went to play with Seb in the morning, and then to the manse to hang out with Samuel and Louise in the afternoon. In the morning she made sure her lunch box wasn't forgotten and asked for shoes, put her hat on and got her coat half on herself and sat on the bottom step waiting for me. She clearly realised lunch box meant exciting things were afoot. I let her walk round to Katy's rather than carrying her since she's put her coat on. She did very well walking most of the way there.

My day in Inverness was as good as can be expected. Wasn't very well on the bus, which was grim but at least I didn't have Ivy with me. Got to pop to everything baby Highland who are having a sale to stock up on some more t-shirts for Ivy and some random clothes for the twins. I've never taken a pile of clothes so big to a till before- it was rather fun.

The scan was quite stressfull, because it looked like the smaller twins heart wasn't quite right. So I had to wait for half an hour to see the consultant- who then concluded it was fine. There's only a few days between them size wise, but it's funny how much more vunerable that makes the smaller one in my head.

Ivy by all accounts had an amazing day- she got to play with Euan after school since I got a lift back with Cara and didn't need collected. (it's amazing how many people help us out- we owe so many people chocolate and thankyou cards when these two pop out). When I came in, after she had a rummage through my bags to see what i'd brought her told me about the important parts of her day (blowing for hot, and then 'nom nom'- pressumably that she enjoyed the soup she had for lunch)
