Shelter From The Storm

We were out checking on the macaroni penguins as the weather would change in an instant from sun and blue skies to blizzards. Many of the chicks are large enough that the adults have temporarily left them while they head off to sea to feed. Those chicks are grouping together in little creches for protection, while those whose parents are still around can try and hide under them
