Linocutting

Linocutting at printmaking this evening and we were given 2 plates to cut into. One for tonight and one for homework. This plate was for practice and to see how the cutters make marks and how they print. Once I had made lots of lines I turned them into plants ets. The first print off needed a bit more ink on the plate. I added a fence on the plate, inked up a second time and the print came out lovely. The photo is of the original plate I cut.
