at home with an Ivysaurus

By MoGrant

Lovely little girl

Ivy's behavior has been impeccable today- so proud of her. (apart from the occasional face scratching, but less so than has been in previous days so that's good too). She wanted to play with the teeny tiny premature baby vests that i've just got a bag of, but having had it exaplained to her that they definitly wouldn't fit her she suggested putting one on dolly who is unfortunatly too small so I suggested sheepy the hot water bottle instead. Ivy wanted to carry him about after that- and since i'm trying to encourage caring for baby behaviour just now I played along. When she got ready for gaelic toddlers she wanted to take sheepy too, So I fashioned her her own baby wearing wrap and she was pretty pleased. As sheepy is a microwave hot water bottle, I heated him up for her before we left so she pretty much walked along the road with a heater strapped to her front. She walked all the way to village hall before wanting picked up (because she tripped up) and listened to instructions on directions and held me hand to cross the road.

At gaelic toddlers, she tried strawberry and blueberry instead of just eating bannana and breadsticks like she has been recently.

Tess and Tilda came round to see us in the afternoon. Ivy- who hasn't seen Tilda in months was very pleased and sat herself down in front of Tilda to chat to her and gave Tilda a hug. Very glad she's getting good at just 'being nice'.

She ate all of her pasta, then asked for 'mo', which she finished too before saying she was done. So she got both pear and pancakes for pudding because we were so impressed with her.

Hoping the amazing behaviour continues. I said to Euan tonight, she's being so good it almost makes you want another one (or two... ;) )
