The world at his feet
This morning was unusual. S and I had been asked to return to Auckland to collect C's boys and bring them back for a couple of days' stay. Agreed. Then S' brother asked us to be here to care for his grand daughters before he could get here (complicated logistics). All worked out with lots of crossing of paths. Then this morning brother-in-law saw the sense of him bringing the boys north and us staying put. Such a major change meant I felt at a loose end; so I did some garden maintenance.
After greeting the new arrivals, I decided on a walk on the beach at mid tide, and was accompanied by tsuken. It was too hot and near midday and anyway the birds were absent in their numbers.
Instead of a bird, you have a fellow photographer, fellow blipper, fellow psychiatrist, and son.In search of an oystercatcher to photograph.
