Kick the bucket!

My oh my, the kids were laughing hysterically as I read their bedtime story. It's our favourite series, Amelia Bedelia. This time, she wrote silly headlines for the school paper and some of them were actually rather funny.

For some reason, when it came to where Amelia Bedelia gave the story of the school gardener tripping over the bucket "Gardener kicked the bucket", they roared and demanded that I repeat the same pages endlessly.

They were hollering "kick the bucket! !" nonstop until I had to calm them down for bed.

Now I'm hoping they don't yell "kick the bucket!" to their teachers tomorrow.
