Royal Victoria Country Park, Netley, Southampton

The building in the background is the chapel which is all that remains of the military hospital which opened in 1863 and closed shortly after the second world war. Most of the building was destroyed by a fire in 1963 and was demolished not long after. The country park was opened in 1980 and has great views of Southampton Water. It's  a good place to walk and is popular with families & dog walkers as it's fairly quiet with few cars
