Brrrr..

As birds fluff up their feathers to retain their body heat when they are cold this female blackbird has to be finding the weather a bit nippy. The length of her claws/feet surprised me.

Apparently Blackbirds will fly off if a starling approaches - the reverse applies in our garden.
