Freezy bird day ..

So out I went with my bird group into the freezy muddiness.

We saw quite a lot of  good stuff from the waterside hide - marsh harrier, herons, goldeneye, teal, wren, treecreeper, buzzard, sparrowhawk - we even saw two playing foxes on our way to the hide.

But the best photo and the best spot of the day was this flying bittern ..
