Mrs Murkin

I had to make a quick trip into Falmouth to pick up some paint but Passing the Library I noticed that there was an art exhibition on Porthmeor Past and Present in the Art Gallery which sounded interesting. I popped in to see it and I'm glad I did.

Mrs Murkin who for a moment I thought was a real person is in fact made from paper mâché. The detail of the skin, shoes, handbag and folds of the dress are amazing. The artist's name is Philip Cox.
