Remembering Granny's Roses

These aren’t Granny’s roses  of course.   This bunch came from the florist.   But they do remind me of the roses she used to grow.  The walls of her cottage used to be covered with climbing roses.    She grew little maroon-red ones,  tiny little multi-headed yellow ones and pretty pink ones, along with lots of  the sweet smelling  white ones that we used to call ‘Jacobite’ roses.   Don’t think I ever knew their names, but then I was only knee-high to a grasshopper at the time.   But the memory is still strong.

Thank you so much to all you lovely blippers who commented, and gave stars and hearts to ‘Glorious Gerbera’.   Your comments and accolades are all much appreciated.   Nice to see it reached Popular, even though it wasn’t on the first few pages.
