Winter on the Yorkshire Wolds

Another morning tagging controls for our Mountain Biking Orienteering event at the end of March.

Our plan to visit most of the control sites in the west of the area had to be put on hold when my rear derraileur stopped working. This meant climbing was rather a challenge so we slid back down some icy roads back to the car.

This shot was taken as we emerged from the mist along a bridleway leading to the Wold top. We were in the sunshine as the mist hugged the valleys.

The bike is now repaired by my local bike shop. Great service and cheap too! Just needs some new grippy tyres to get back on track.
