Oldest Football
We occasionally have coffee and a look around the Smith Art Gallery and Museum on child- minding day. One of the more unusual exhibits is this football thought to be the oldest in the world. It was found in the rafters of the Queen's Chamber in Stirling Castle and has been dated as pre-1540.
The ball is made of leather and inflated pig's bladder
