Talking of which...

I went to have a nosey inside the former RBS building at 42 St Andrew Square on the way home. A "proposals exhibition" for redevelopment was on display there this afternoon and I was super curious to see both the proposed plans & the building that I'd never set foot in before.  

The architects have put together a very interesting mixed use development with a cohesive design which I think will fit in very well with the various other projects in the east of the city centre. Cosmopolitan world class capital and all that jazz. 

It's so sad to see beautiful buildings like this neo-classical listed beauty abandoned & at risk - a sympathetic restoration that puts it back into use is just what is needed. Though it'll be a while before I get to dine in the former banking hall!
