Mr and Mrs Shoveler

A visit to the local nature reserve before doing some shopping. Some of the species of birds there were Pintails, Teals and Shovelers. I chose this photo of a pair of Shovelers because it shows rather well the remarkable shape of their bills.


I used to visit the reserve quite frequently for several hours before but nowadays, mostly because of work, I unfortunately cannot go there as often as I would like to anymore.
