South Coast Scribblings

Day out with friends

All three of us had a lovely carvery main course at Bramber today, courtesy of my home group leader and his wife. Then an amazing selection of desserts - wow - and you could just help yourself, so I loaded up with trifle, cheesecake and toffee profiteroles! The diet re- starts tomorrow! Afterwards we all went on to Steyning and they took us into Cobblestone Walk (in the cream building). They took us into a little indoor passageway, which led through to a fascinating collection of little shops in a courtyard, many of which were in the sort of little chalets that are used at Christmas markets. In the middle was a really quaint little tea room with beams and hidden corners. All in all, a lovely time out, and sunshine too, though incredibly cold of course. We had actually had a sprinkling of snow today, but it cleared quite quickly.
