rolling in the deep
There I was thinking I could do a montage of the wild flowers found today whilst walking the dog but then he, Haruki the puerto rican dirty dawg decided he'd start a brand new hobby of rolling in some almost fresh horse poop which he was estatic about - he revelled in it (quite literally)!
& why would he do that? searches on google say that the behavior goes back to that original pack. A dog finding something to roll in does it to take a message back to the pack. Bees go back to a hive and do a dance, ants lay a pheromone trail back to their nest for other ants to follow back to the food source they have found & wolves roll in fresh deer poleader lead the pack back to the area, and the pack could track the deer, which in turn could lead to a new source of food.
Another theory that goes back to the original pack, indicates dogs may be trying to camouflage their own scent from others whilst Others think its that dogs get turned on by different odors.
Whatever the reason, it's bath time now!!!!!
