Festival of St Sebastian , Arthungal Kerala

We visited St Andrew's Basilica at Arthungal for the festival of St Sebastian Catholics  who have recovered from serious illness or accidents make a pilgrimage here. Some hobble on their knees from the alter to the beach to give thanks. It is a very jolly affair with stalls lining the streets selling all manner of snacks ,drinks and other goods. We watched some expert cooks making Kerala porotas as we sipped our chai at one of the stalls.
