In search of swans ...
“… ice contains no future , just the past, sealed away. As if they're alive, everything in the world is sealed up inside, clear and distinct. Ice can preserve all kinds of things that way- cleanly, clearly. That's the essence of ice, the role it plays.” Haruki Murakami
I ventured outside for the first time since Friday. Came to work seeking the reassuring company of the swans, ducks and geese ...
None to be seen. The Big Pond was covered in a sheet of ice and even the little pond had iced over except for the small area where the fountain had kept the ice away. I decided to follow the example of fellow blippers rtbutt and thechimp who had commenced a M&M ice phase on Monday (in my absence) which flowed into Tuesday in their search for artistry and ice forms . I decided against M&M and went for the reality of the experience.
