Frozen forest

A short walk at Doune Ponds nature reserve this afternoon hoping to see some wildlife. I did see a beautiful red squirrel but not long enough to take a photo. Everywhere was frozen and very still and I liked the way the dried beech leaves stood out against the bare and frozen submerged trunks.
