It's probably a good thing that we had the place to ourselves. 

Alex has been begging to go bowling for a while, so today, I made it happen.  This little date of ours instantly scored me "best mom in the world" status and lots of hugs and kisses throughout the day.  We had a blast with our bumpers in place and lots of celebratory dances and poses.  Not that we had much to celebrate. . . we're both horrible bowlers, but we had fun.  More pictures from our date including documentation of Alex officially tying his shoes for the first time!  Yep, he waited until we were in a dumpy little bowling alley with nasty shoes that have been worn by a million and a half people to perfect his shoe tying skills and I'm happy I was there to witness it.  Bittersweet as I check one more thing off the list of things he needs mommy's help with.  I love and hate to watch him grow.
