A Naval Commander sitting near me commented that he can tell if a young lady was less fortunate in life if their makeup looked like it came from Boots. So I didn't tell him that the bit of makeup I own comes from Superdrug.
He is only slightly excused in my mind because he often captained the Queens ships when Her Majesty was on board. So his views may well be a bit at sea.
