Eddi Reader - Celtic Connections

The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall was packed to capacity, and what a treat we had.  First Kris Drever, and then Eddi Reader with her band and the Scottish Festival Strings. She sang many songs by Robert Burns, opening with a favourite of mine "Green Grow the Rashes O".  

The highlights for me were John Anderson My Jo with the Strings and 
Ae Fond Kiss.  And Eddi closed with her special version of Auld Lang Syne, singing the first two verses unaccompanied - superb.

This was taken at the end from the Upper Balcony, apologies for the poor quality, but a reminder for me of a very special evening.
