A bit of former volcano

I walked past the Flodden Wall again at lunchtime and was admiring the stones. I'm not a geologist but the red boulder looks a lot like the rocks on Arthur's Seat. Which is the plug from an old volcano, as are several other isolated hills in this corner of Scotland.
