The Gentlemen's pool

It's been raining all morning - the evidence shows in my blip. Today I have shown one of the bathing pools at La Vallette in St.Peter Port. It is a tidal pool and therefore gets refreshed twice daily. There are in fact four pools dating back to Victorian times. The one I have shown is called The Gentlemen's pool and there is also a Ladies pool. They had segregated swimming in those times. The other two are the Childrens and the Horseshoe pool (due to its shape). The Hosreshoe pool is the oldest built in 1862 followed by the Ladies pool which was financed by public subscription.
The green hue in the water is due to the trees and foliage on the hillside above the pools.
