Two-pronged attack!

Not the best of shots ....... the light was poor ...... but it does show the characteristic use of the open beak fairly well.

I did try to find some info online about this manner of feeding ...... but couldn't ...... I do know that they dig into the ground using their open beak to grab their food. I once saw a programme on TV where they used glass with a camera underneath to show this ..... but can't find it ...... think it might have been Springwatch.
