Daylight robbery

I was passing the  jewellers shop when two scooters screeched to a halt right by me. Amidst much shouting they attacked the jewellers shop with a rubber block and a sledge hammer. They got in and ransacked the window display.

The owner tried to put up a fight and some local builders came over to help. One robber was pulled off the back of a scooter as they made their getaway. The robber was knocked to the ground and a scuffle ensued until he brandished a machete!

He then ran off up Liverpool Street. .
