Our classroom loft

Today was the first day of Class 1 and also the day of the Rose ceremony. 

The nursery school teachers bring the children across to primary school by leading them through an archway. The Class 12s (Matrics), present each child with a rose as they come through the archway and the children are then presented to their new Class 1 teachers. It is quite a moving ceremony filled with great significance which the children will look back to one day. After each child came through the archway and was presented to Mrs T and myself we then had to present a story to the children and the assembly of parents, children and teachers. This was my biggest performance to date! Certainly a day to remember!
