Truly disgusting!

Sorry for the yucky nature of this but these are only several of what must have been tens of thousands of red mites living in out chicken house! They were quite literally eating our chooks alive. We tried so many things to get rid of them without success but at last we've done it - Creosote!! We know it's not
an ideal substance and it's difficult to buy. We wish we had known about the problem red mites can be a year ago, when we started out, we would have used Creosote before we erected the chicken house. Our chooks are living in a rabbit hutch for the next week and getting lots of TLC in the hope they will bounce back to health. We will then return them to their mite-free "home".
