Colour Me Red

Like most of our friends the most used room of the house is the kitchen. More often than not we eat there, visitors invariably gather there and of course on the occasions we have family gatherings, you'll find most activity in that one room.
So time to add some colour to the most frequently used of our kitchen accessories. It began when I saw a post Christmas sale offer at the local supermarket — a bright red toaster, reduced for a second time.  Did we need a new toaster? Of course not, though I have to admit that the new one does appear to perform rather better.
It was only a matter of days that the decision was made about the kettle. The old one was cream and again apart from needing descaling frequently was perfectly good.
The matching kettle was no longer available at the same supermarket. But it took only a couple of Google searches to find what we were looking for — same make, flame red in colour and at the same price and what's more we could "click and collect" and have it delivered to a nearby, but different, supermarket within less than 24 hours.
We had hoped it might be quieter than the old one . . . but at least it is no more noisy.
The crucial thing, though, is we have introduced some colour into the kitchen.
And noticed immediately by the first visitor.
Last thing I heard, was that my wife was to add to the theme with a little red dress!
