Wittering
Back blip...
Yesterday, I went to East Wittering in Sussex for a day by the seaside with friends; it was warm, and the weather was pleasant (the various clouds in the sky meant it wasn't always sunny, but it was lovely when it was, and dramatic when the sun was behind the clouds...).
We had such a relaxing day, and had a leisurely amble in the middle of the afternoon along the beach and around the headland to the harbour at West Wittering.
I took this photo on the way back: the tide was right out (it rises and falls a spectacular distance, and surprisingly quickly), and the sun was getting a bit lower in the sky. The land at the right (on the horizon) is the Isle of Wight, and I love the way the groyne strides out towards the water. Earlier in the day, the sea came right up to where the dark (black-looking) band of algae is on the beach...
A wonderful day.
