IMPACT Bangladesh's Nursing Institute

IMPACT Bangladesh’s Nursing Institute opened last year with the aim of creating opportunities for young women from poorer backgrounds to train in the profession.  Of the current intake of nurses, all come from impoverished backgrounds, with local parents who are farmers, day labourers or small traders.


Trainee nurses live, work and study on site at IMPACT's Community Hospital in Meherpur District.  IMPACT Bangladesh is actively seeking sponsors both in-country and abroad to support the intake of poorest students into the future, ‘For supporting destitute meritorious girls for this noble cause and contribute to transforming the livelihood of poor families.’
